Ginoo Ko, Ginoo Ko… Pero Nituo Ba Gyud Ko?
April 12, 2026
2nd sunday of easter – divine mercy sunday
| First Reading | Acts 2:42-47 |
| Psalm | Psalm 118:2-4, 13-15, 22-24 |
| Second Reading | 1 Peter 1:3-9 |
| Gospel Reading | John 20:19-31 |
Today, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday—the overflowing, dili mahurot nga kalooy sa Ginoo. It reminds us: resurrection is not just about rising again, but about being forgiven again… and again… and again.
Yet in the Gospel, we meet Thomas—not in his strength, but in his doubt. He wanted proof. He wanted to see. He wanted to touch.
And if we’re honest, we are not so different.
We say, “Lord, I trust in You,” but deep inside, we wonder—
“Apil ba gyud ko ana?”
“Ma-forgive pa ba ko?”
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
We believe God forgives—pero kung kita na, murag dili.
Instead of running to confession, we hesitate.
Murag mas dako pa atong sala kaysa sa Iyang kalooy.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
We ask for mercy, but doubt it’s ours.
We say sorry, but don’t forgive ourselves.
We receive mercy… but struggle to give it.
Hamon: The Challenge
Go to confession.
Forgive yourself.
And give the mercy you keep asking for.
