The Feast of the Holy Family reminds us that holiness is learned at home. Family life is where values are formed, faith is witnessed, and love is practiced daily. What we see, experience, and imitate within the family shapes who we become.
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
Before children can learn virtue, they must first see it lived. The family becomes the first school of faith when love is modeled, not merely taught.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
Today, many grow up without witnessing this kind of ordered love—marriages break, families separate, and values fade before children can even understand them. When respect between spouses is missing, children struggle to learn respect, patience, and love. What is not seen cannot be easily passed on.
Hamon: The Challenge
Today, pray intentionally for families—especially those wounded by separation, conflict, and loss of faith. Examine your own role within your family:
How can I model respect, fidelity, patience, and love so others may learn from my example?
