We often admire people’s talents and abilities, but today’s readings remind us that every good gift comes from God. More importantly, these gifts are meant to draw us closer to Him and help us serve others according to His will.
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
Being gifted is not the goal; being united with God is. The Holy Spirit equips each of us with unique gifts, but these bear fruit when nurtured through prayer, Scripture, the sacraments, and a daily relationship with the Lord. The closer we are to God, the more our gifts become instruments of His love rather than tools for our own glory.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
Talent may impress people, but a gift surrendered to God can transform lives.
Hamon: The Challenge
Today, spend a few moments in prayer and ask: “Lord, how do You want me to use the gifts You have entrusted to me?” Then take one small step to use them for His glory and the good of others.
