| Psalm | Psalm 47: 2-3, 6-7, 8-9 |
| Second Reading | Ephesians 1: 17-23 |
| Gospel Reading | Matthew 28: 16-20 |
The Ascension was not Jesus abandoning His disciples. While He returned to the Father body and soul, He also promised that they would never be left alone. Through the Holy Spirit, Christ remains present with His people until He comes again.
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
The Ascension reminds us that Jesus may no longer be visible to our eyes, but He remains present through the Holy Spirit. Heaven is no longer distant because Christ has already gone before us.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
Sometimes God feels silent or far away, especially when we are tired, waiting, or carrying burdens alone. But just because we cannot see Him does not mean He has left us.
Hamon: The Challenge
Instead of only looking up to heaven, may we also look around us and become witnesses of Christ’s presence to others who feel abandoned, hopeless, or forgotten. Reach out, listen, serve, and remind others through your presence that they are not alone.
