After the fall comes the call.
After sin comes hope.
Lent does not leave us in the dark—God shows us who we can become.
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
Abraham is asked to leave what is familiar.
Jesus is transfigured—revealing what lies beneath ordinary flesh.
The message is clear:
God calls, and God transforms.
Sin is not the end of the story. Calling is.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
We often think we are stuck as we are—flawed, ordinary, unchanging.
But the Transfiguration whispers:
You are more than what you see in the mirror.
God doesn’t just call you away from something.
He calls you toward who you can become.
Hamon: The Challenge
This week, do one act of leaving and one act of following:
Leave:
• Unfollow one account that feeds envy or distraction.
• Set a fixed 10-minute daily silence (no phone, no music).
• Stop one habit you already know is pulling you away from God.
Follow:
• Read the Gospel of the day slowly, out loud, once.
• Do one hidden act of kindness without posting it.
• Choose one decision that reflects who Christ is calling you to become, not who you used to be.
