The manna in the desert fed God’s people for a day. The Eucharist feeds us for eternity. In every Mass, Jesus does not simply give blessings—He gives Himself. Those who treasure the Eucharist most are those who know they cannot save themselves.

Hibla: The Message of the Readings

The Eucharist is God’s greatest act of self-giving. The manna nourished the body for a time; the Body and Blood of Christ nourish both body and soul and lead us to eternal life.

Hugot: Points to Ponder

We often approach Communion aware of our weaknesses and unworthiness. Yet the Eucharist is not a reward for the perfect but a gift for those who hunger for God. The Lord who knows our brokenness still invites us to His table and gives Himself completely to us.

Hamon: The Challenge

The next time you receive Holy Communion, pause and ask yourself: Do I truly recognize Who I am receiving? Let your posture—whether standing or kneeling—reflect the reverence in your heart.
