On this day, we witness not just suffering, but a love so great that it chose to suffer for our sake. Jesus, though innocent and divine, embraced the cross freely—crying out in anguish, yet still entrusting Himself completely to the Father. In a world filled with fear, pain, and uncertainty, His Passion reminds us that God does not abandon us, but enters into our suffering to save us.
Hibla: The Message of the Readings
Jesus reveals that true love is shown in willing sacrifice and complete obedience to the Father, even in suffering. His Passion is not defeat, but the very means by which we are saved.
Hugot: Points to Ponder
If Jesus chose to suffer out of love for me, how do I respond to that love in my life?
Hamon: The Challenge
Surrender one area of resistance today and choose obedience to God, even if it costs you comfort.
